EHEDG
The European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG) is a coalition of system manufacturers, the food industry, manufacturing companies, research companies and health departments. Its goal is to generally improve hygiene conditions in food processing. For computers to obtain certification from EHEDG, they have to be made of acid and detergent-resistant materials, have a smooth surface without grooves and no sharp edges or hidden cavities, they must be easy to disinfect. EHEDG certification gives customers the certainty that their computers and other equipment meet the highest standards in hygiene. This increases both product quality as well as safety. It also improves efficiency because companies consume fewer detergents, energy and water.
