Improved WLAN standard
Effective immediately: noax industrial PCs now support the new IEEE 802.11n WLAN standard, or the n-standard. The primary benefit over the previous versions is that the n-standard provides faster data transfer rates. The n-standard enables new devices to achieve gross bit rates of up to 450 MBit/s, a net bit rate of roughly 180 MBit/s. In addition to higher data throughput, the new standard also provides better reach.
To support the new standard, noax industrial PCs have up to three antennas that can receive and send information simultaneously. This allows for better coverage even in labyrinthine facilities. This of course results in far less frequent interruptions in the wireless transmission. The n-standard is ideal in places where uninterrupted wireless communications and data transmission are required.
