Compact 8-Inch Industrial Touch Panel PC – Robust and Reliable

The distinctiveness of this fully-fledged 8-inch industrial touch panel computer lies in its fully-enclosed design without ventilation slots and external fans. This compact IPC thereby provides the greatest possible reliability, even in mobile outdoor use in the harshest conditions.

Ebersberg / Germany - noax Technologies, the specialist for robust and reliable industry terminals on a PC basis, is providing the new C8 - a compact and fully-fledged Industrial Touch Panel PC with fully-enclosed housing without external ventilation. Due to its robust aluminum housing and day-light-durable 8.4-inch TFT display with integrated touch, this industrial touch panel PC is suited to various tasks in both indoor and outdoor settings.

The IPC is protected from extreme environmental factors by it robust and compact construction. The C8 is there-fore the ideal terminal for mobile use on diggers, caterpillars, cranes or trucks, especially as the new IPC is only 232 millimeters long, 185 millimeters wide and 99 millimeters deep and therefore fits onto and into almost any carrier vehicle. The compact IPC also has a large range of services: the microcontroller installed as standard auto-matically undertakes numerous individually scalable monitoring functions, for example, recording the hours of operation, monitoring temperature or controlling the back-lighting.

In addition, the C8 (which is equipped with a noax-developed mobile motherboard) has an Intel Celeron 400 MHz processor, on-board interfaces, compact FLASH and Ethernet card as standard. This guarantees high efficiency, high compatibility and extensibility. The terminal handles almost any peripheral application via a PC104+ slot and a mini PCI slot as well as a wireless LAN card. The C8 is approved up to protection class IP 65 / NEMA4X. Also, its stable, high-quality and fully-enclosed aluminum extrusion-press-profile housing, avoidance of external fan, double-protected plug connections and installation of a particularly shock-proof hard disk protect it from jolting, vibration, damp, dust and dirt. noax also makes special shock absorber plates upon request, which are fixed be-tween the industrial touch panel PC and the vehicle.

Above all, noax Technologies fundamentally values suitability for daily use and user friendliness of their industrial touch panel PCs. The new C8 terminal is also equipped with a touch screen and a particularly bright 8.4-inch SVGA TFT display (800x600) with 350cd. By means of this combination, the C8 offers excellent readability and simple oper-ability. Rapid and error-free data input is even possible with gloves. Upon request, all noax terminals are com-pletely configured and delivered directly as ready-to-use IPCs.

The introduction of the new C8 means an expansion of the compact series product range for noax Technologies. In addition to the C8, the tried and tested C12 and C15 IPCs are also available. Just like its sister machines, the “little 8” has also been developed and extensively tested in the noax in-house research and development department especially for industrial applications. Long-term and errorfree usage is guaranteed due to inhouse production, comprehensive support and long-term availability.
