How does server-based client computing work?
In server-based client computing, a client accesses the data and software of a central server. Data cannot be stored on the client itself. Also, the client configuration is managed centrally by means of a corresponding user interface. Therefore, everything can be administered from a remote workstation computer regardless of the client's job site. An IT technician no longer has to come to the site to configure a new or replaced computer. This saves considerable costs, particularly in administration.
noax Thin Clients combine the benefits of server-based client computing with the advantages of noax industrial PCs developed especially for industrial applications. The software is operated just like a computer with a complete operating system but instead, using the industrial PC touch screen.
