8" Panel Mount Industrial PC: compact and completely sealed

The noax P8 is an extremely compact and highly scalable Panel industrial PC for simple, trouble-free installation. The distinctive feature of the Panel IPC is its completely sealed construction without any ventilation slots and failure-prone external fans. That is the reason why extreme ambient conditions like dust, water, or moisture do not present a problem at all for the noax P8. Because of its extremely small dimensions of only 230x183x96mm³ (WxHxD), this fully-fledged industrial PC is particularly easy to install in machinery, switching cabinets or control panels with very limited space, and with the help of a special mounting frame, the P8 can be easily installed in a 19 inch cabinet.

noax P8: Panel IPC for Extreme Production Environments

Standard equipment for industrial PCs of the Panel P8 type includes extremely bright 8.4 inch industrial TFT displays (300cd) as well as durable resistive touch panels. This permits very good readability and simple operability even in extreme production environments with, for example, adverse lighting conditions or very dirty displays. Even when installed directly on vibration-intensive machinery and equipment, the P8 shows great system stability because the use of heavy-duty connector locks plus the consistent omission of failure-prone wiring harnesses protect the P8 Panel industrial PC from shock or vibration.

Small 8" Panel IPC with High Performance

Despite its compact, completely sealed construction, the 8" Panel IPC provides high performance, expandability, and compatibility. It is, for example, equipped with an Intel Celeron processor, original Intel chip set, 60GB industrial grade hard disk, and 512MB memory. Moreover, the small noax Panel IPC possesses a wide range of on-board interfaces such as 2xRS232, 2xUSB, Intel Ethernet network controller (RJ45) and PS/2. LowProfile PCI, PC/104+ and Mini PCI are available as add-ons. The LowProfile PCI cards can be used to upgrade interfaces or digital I/Os. Compact-Flash cards can also be inserted directly on the noax proprietary N7 All-In-One motherboard.

The noax Micro-Controller – Enhanced Reliability

The noax Micro-Controller installed as standard in all noax industrial PCs automatically performs numerous monitoring, controlling and statistical tasks such as temperature and backlight control, or counting operating hours. The controller can be individually adapted to customer demands. In addition, noax use a proprietary touch controller for automatic panel control and readjustment. Another noax service option is the configuration of all industrial PCs to suit specific customer requirements within a "ready-to-use" installation. All you need to do is switch it on!
