The S12 is particularly suitable for hygienically demanding applications in food-processing plants, in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries as well as in clinical areas. The food safe, polished and completely sealed enclosure made from V2A stainless steel, the omission of failure-prone external fans plus the food safe seals between enclosure and 12" touch display permit simple cleaning and disinfection – even using aggressive cleaning agents or caustic solutions. The S12 is completely splash-proof and so achieves compliance with protective standard IP65.

Trouble-Free Long-Term Operation unter Extreme Conditions

Due to its completely sealed V2A stainless steel enclosure without unreliable external fans and the exclusive use of industrial grade high-end components, the S12 guarantees trouble-free long-term operation - also because it is IP65 – splash-proof from all sides. When subjected to the permanent influence of chemicals, different touch-sensitive protective film can be affixed to the touch displays, depending on the acid or alkaline solution used. In addition, the S12 is made especially shock and vibration resistant by using heavy-duty connector locks, by dispensing with wiring harnesses to the greatest possible extent, and by fixing the processor heat sink.

Demand-Oriented Performance Scalability – Dependent on Application

The S12 provides maximum robustness compatibility and efficiency and requires little space. Depending on the application, low-power Intel Pentium III processors are available ranging from 1.0 GHz to 1.4 GHz. The standard 10/100/1000 MB Ethernet interface allows the S12 to be easily integrated in a wide range of production environments. In addition, the noax IPC provides comprehensive range of on-board interfaces and upgrade options which enable the integration of various peripheral devices. High-contrast TFT displays ensure excellent readability even in environments with adverse lighting conditions. The use of resistive touch panels makes the IPC simple to operate.

The noax Micro-Controller installed as standard in all noax industrial PCs executes many monitoring, controlling and statistical operations such as temperature and backlight control, or counting the operating hours.
