Solution:
Depending on the adapter card type (ISA or PCI), one
registry key is to be changed as follows:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Pcmcia\Parameters
Generate new DWORT value "
DisableIsaToPciRouting
" containing the following values:
"
0
" for PCI adapter cards
"
1
" for ISA adapter cards.
After rebooting, the inserted PCMCIA and CardBus cards will
work again.
This modification enables Windows 2000 to correctly
allocate the interrupt claimed by the inserted
PCMCIA/bus board .
Attention: It is possible that after new installation
of a service pack or an upgrade from SP2 to SP3, the above
registry key is deleted again which means that the PCMCIA
card will no longer work!
