Due to the fact that they develop their industrial PCs in-house and the energy-efficient electronics design resulting from this, noax Technologies AG have succeeded in dispensing with ventilation slots and failure-prone external fans, despite the completely sealed IPC construction. All heat is dissipated into the environment through the enclosure and specially adapted cooling fins. This prevents dirt or moisture from entering the interior of the noax industrial PCs and thus destroying electronic components.

Dust, dirt, moisture, and splash-water are no problem for noax industrial PCs as they are completely IP 65 protected. They also cope without any difficulty with continuous operation under extreme mechanical strain such as vibration or shock which is the main cause of IPC failure, due to the heavy-duty industrial-grade components used, and their mechanical safety devices. If required, noax also use extremely shock-resistant storage media such as solid-state disks or specially designed shock absorber pads to inhibit vibration.
