All different types of PC keyboards can be connected to this PS/2 keyboard connector (N6). For industrial applications, two different types of keyboard (NEMA 4x) are available.

Membrane keyboard

The membrane keyboard with its inclined casing is water and dust proof as well as resistant against a lot of chemicals. You can clean it with corrosive disinfectants without problems. All casing parts are authorized for food contact by the FDA. It is absolutely hygienic suitable without edges and grooves and fulfils the strict regulations of the food industry. The operating temperature range is from -0°C up to +50°C (= 32F up to +122F).

Piezo keyboard

The piezo keyboard has a completely hermetic dense surface out of stainless steel and is suitable for highly sensible areas with temperatures from -40°C up to +85°C (= -40°F up to 185°F). It particularly captivates with its long life time because there are no moving parts used. A peep tone informs the user about the return information after a keystroke.
