Access Point
The bridge into the company's LAN
The access points are the main part of the radio
infrastructure. One access point (AP) makes one radio cell.
To illuminate a larger area, more access points may be
necessary. This creates a multi-cellular system in which a
mobile ProTouch equipped with a “client RF card“ (see
next paragraph) can move around with no interruption of the
RF connection. The ethernet access point has a frequency in
the 2.4 GHz (ISM) range.
With a directional antenna connected to the Access Point, a
longer distance up to 4 miles can be achieved.
Plug & Play makes the installation easy. For optimal
reception, and any relocation, the smal design of the
access point makes it easy to move.
