Operating Systems

The ProTouch industrial PC is delivered with a preinstalled operating system. This makes the noax PC system ready to use. Following operating systems are standard:

With a Recovery-CD an image of the operating system can be reinstalled with a bootable USB CD-ROM (released by noax). A noax preinstalled image is standard. A custom specific image can also be installed upon request (ask noax) e.g. a preinstalled custom CD.

Virtual Keyboards

Instead of a mechanical keyboard, two versions of virtual keyboard software "VKey" and "KeyPad" are available. These virtual keyboards can simulate regular or customer special keyboards and can operate like PS/2 keyboards. Both keyboard versions operate with Windows NT/2000/XP.

Depending on the application, two different virtual keyboard software programs are available:

With the KeyPad software, virtual keyboards can be made very easy and fast. Each key sends one character. This character is identical with the sign on the key.

VKey is freely configurable and every key can be underlaid with an ASCII or any string of codes.

Touch-Panel Driver

In addition to the operating system, a touch driver is necessary. Touch drivers are available for the following operating systems:
